The Foundry Ministries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Men’s Intake Coordinator. The Men’s Intake Coordinator is responsible for the Intake process of new program participants for the Bessemer campus. In addition, the Intake Coordinator provides ongoing assistance to the Director, Men’s Program with a goal of helping the program participants’ move out of the cycles of addiction, poverty, and incarceration.

It is the duty of the Intake Coordinator to hold to the mission, vision, and core values of The Foundry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Intake Office

  • Oversees program participant’s Employment Readiness assignment to the Intake office.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with third-party organizations, persons, and judicial systems that can benefit program applicants and The Foundry Ministries.
  • Consistently collaborates with Social Services and program staff to update and provide a quality referral list for applicants that do not qualify for the program
  • Reviews and screens applications and applicants for eligibility; forwards vetted applications to the Program Director for approval
  • Coordinates Intake appointments with individual applicants and/or their family members, friends, judges and other legal officials
  • Manages all aspects of the Intake process for a new program participant, including interviews, recording information via Apricot software, and assisting program participant in filling out standard forms and releases

Assistant to the Director, Men’s Program

  • Primarily responsible for record keeping, document assessment, recovery planning and program participant progress; including, exits, passes, phases and disciplinary documentation
  • Administers observable and verified drug screens for program participants as requested
  • Maintains program statistics and other critical data
  • Leads Genesis Change Groups and facilitates classes as desired and/or requested

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Supervisory and management experience
  • Ministry or church lay work (examples: Youth Group Leader, Stephen Minister)

Requirements

  • Valid state issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and must be approved by The Foundry’s insurance carrier
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Data Entry
  • Strong interpersonal skills
