Physical Therapist (Coordinator of Rehabilitation Services)

• Bloomington, IndianaCoordinates the rehabilitation and treatment programs for Indiana University Student Athletes as directed by Indiana University Physicians and/or outside medical consultants. Work with IU Sports Medicine and orthopedic physicians to develop rehabilitation protocols and outcomes. Work daily with IU Sports Medicine staff in care and oversight of rehabilitation programs. Work with student athletes in rehabilitation, functional exercise and return to play. Documents all rehabilitation treatments in student athlete charts via EMR. Work with the School of Public Health graduate and undergraduate level student athletic trainers during clinical time. Mentor staff athletic trainers, research new rehabilitation techniques and modalities and provide staff education and development. Work in conjunction with strength and conditioning staff on return to weight room/conditioning protocols for injured student athletes.
Required QualificationsREQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE approved Physical Therapy curriculum and two years of experience in a clinical setting. Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Indiana; healthcare provided CPR or ability to attain certification.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals within a diverse environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred QualificationsExperience at NCAA Division I athletics. Board of Certification certified Athletic Trainer. Three years of experience in a clinical setting or working with student athletes.
