Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Job Opening

Position Purpose

Provides advanced practice professional nursing care the Physician Practice patients with a broad variety of medical surgical complaints, performing all functions in a professional and ethical manner. Collaborates with other health care team members to ensure quality patient care.

Position Qualifications

Education:

Masters Science of nursing in nurse practitioner field or Physician Assistant Certificate; certified nurse practitioner (CRNP) license. Certification in family or acute care. Possess the ability to communicate orally and in writing.

Experience:

Sufficient previous clinical experience in area of expertise. Able to work under the following conditions: contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances; exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries and illness); subject to varying and unpredictable situations; handles emergency or crisis situations; may perform emergency care; occasionally subjected to irregular hours; occasional stress due to multiple calls and inquiries.

Licenses/Certificates:

1) CPR certification or eligibility/capability to certify. 2) Certified nurse practitioner (CRNP) license with the State of Alabama Board of Nursing. Certification in family or acute care. 3) ACLS Excellent communication skills required. Must complete and maintain required departmental competencies.

Previous Orthopedic experience preferred.
