Job Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist is a critical link to guest satisfaction as you drive the customer's first and last impression of Pet Paradise. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, processing arrivals and check-outs, supporting guests' needs, responding to and resolving inquires and complaints, and coordinating with staff to ensure guests are well cared for. The Front Desk Receptionist is comfortable interacting with customers in a professional manner.

Requirements

Education

  • Obtained or working towards High school diploma or GED

Skills and Experience (Essential)

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Exhibits superb interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work well under pressure while retaining tact and composure when resolving guest issues

Job Duties

Guest Communication

  • Maintain a personal demeanor that is friendly, cheerful and courteous at all times
  • Greet guests and pets by name
  • Ensure that all guests feel welcomed to Pet Paradise
  • Register pets and make detailed notes regarding feeding and care
  • Follow check-out processes
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to guest inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to location specifics
  • Respond to phone calls and emails
  • Promote amenities and services to customers using personal knowledge and effective selling techniques
  • Welcome and effectively resolve customer questions, issues and complaints with supervisor assistance as needed
  • Provide constant and consistent communication with other departments and supervisors/managers in order to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Basic cleaning duties to provide a clean and fresh environment for pets and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written directions

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Passion for pets and dedication to their safety and well being

Excellent communication skills, writing skills with the ability to compose posts free of grammatical errors. Be creative

Must be a Team player and be comfortable collaborating with multiple departments.
