The MVH Emergency Department is looking to fill a full time Registered Nurse position. The Emergency Department staff treats approximately 34,000 patients a year, averaging nearly 100 patients a day. The nurse patient ratio is 4:1.
The Emergency Department RN will provide optimum nursing care to all patients assigned to his/her care, regardless of social, economic or religious status. He/She will understand and incorporate current nursing philosophy and objections into practice; function in accordance with nursing, hospital and medical staff policies and procedures, and refer to manuals as necessary.
Shift Information: Weekday and Weekend Rotation (Day/Night). Choice of 80 or 72 hour pay period (3 12 hour shifts)
Qualifications: Current licensure as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Process, Nursing Theory, and Nursing Practice. Critical Care experience preferred.
