Assesses the patient's physical and functional abilities and needs. Coordinates patient care with other staff members and physicians and implements appropriate therapeutic care.

Education Required: Graduate of an approved school of physical therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association

Experience Required: One (1) Year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist

Experience Desired: One (1) Year of home health care experience

Must be Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the State of Alabama

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to perform limited to full range heavy work requiring sitting, standing, walking, and driving
Must possess vision, speech, hearing, sensation, physical strength and dexterity to safely perform all duties of the job.

Must be able to climb stairs, access and operate elevators, access patients' homes which may not have conventional access accommodations. Must be able to maneuver on all types of terrain

Must be able to turn, lift, carry and otherwise transport patients

Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals both orally and in writing. Must be able to give and receive instructions and information, both in person and via telephone.
Job duties must typically be performed without assistance and require exerting force of up to 100 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
