- Serves as a consultant, change agent and facilitator in assessing learning needs and in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities. Serves as a role model while providing the leadership needed to implement evidence-based practice for our patients’ safety and wellbeing. Utilizing instructional techniques and adult and pediatric learning principles, develops and implements job aids, performance criteria, clinical competencies and interactive practical experiences to support staff development based on state regulations and identified educational needs. Role is predominated for hospital and outpatient services.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in an accredited RN program; Master’s degree preferred
- Current and active Registered Nurse in the State of Maine
- Previous experience as a staff development educator preferred
- Five or more years of clinical nursing experience
- Active BCLS. Current additional certifications per department requirements
- Excellent decision-making and organizational skills are essential
