Experienced Veterinary Assistant Job Opening

Full-time position working in a busy 3-doctor veterinary practice in Ellington, CT. Seeking organized, energetic individual with experience working with companion animals.Must have outgoing personality, good communication skills and a commitment to quality care and customer service. Duties include animal restraint for exams and procedures, animal care for inpatient and outpatient pets, assisting in the laboratory and pharmacy as well as surgery and radiology, and a significant amount of cleaning / sanitizing / facility infection control, as well as inventory counts, client education, and cross-training in the receptionist role.

Minimum qualificationsinclude 2 years experience working in a veterinary clinic.

Monday – Friday schedule. Some mornings 7:30-3 and some evenings 12-8pm.

No weekends. Competitive salary depending on experience and excellent benefits.

Salary: $11.00 to $14.00 /hour
