CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)

Friedwald Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing a Long-Term Skilled Nursing Facility has full-time and part-time openings for CNA (Certified Nurse Assistants). The CNA will interact directly with our residents, providing comfort and transportation, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living needs. Friedwald Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing offers 8-hour shifts.

Available hours:

Full-time: Morning Shift (7am-3pm), Evening Shift (3pm-11pm), and Night Shift (11pm-7am)

Weekends: Morning Shift (7am-3pm), Evening Shift (3pm-11pm), and Night Shift (11pm-7am)

CNA Responsibilities:

Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals

Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers

Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient’s chart

Assist the nurses and other staff as needed

Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.

CNA Requirements & Skills:

High School diploma or GED

Completion of state-approved CNA certification of training course (Must have New York Certification).

Previous experience as a CNA preferred.

Basic computer skills

Ability to work as part of team and multitask

Good communication skills
