Role Purpose:
Creates an environment that leads to a positive patient care experience by evaluating, planning and implementing effective patient care within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care and operational guidelines. Works effectively with all member of the treatment team. As a Patient Liaison, your primary goals will be to assist patients in the transition from a hospital back into the comforts of home and to establish and maintain relationship with discharge planners, doctors and other healthcare professionals in the community.
Responsibilities:
  • Creates a positive patient care environment through assessments, timely responses to the patients' needs and open communication with the patient.
  • Achieves exceptional physician satisfaction by collaborating with all members of the treatment team to deliver best care.
  • Creates an environment of safe, quality care as measured by the number of sentinel events and medical errors.
  • Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends and families as measured by patient satisfaction.
  • Achieves exceptional clinical outcomes by supporting research projects and data collection.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • State of MO RN License
  • RN education
  • 1-3 years of experience in care of orthopedic patients preferably in acute care setting
  • You must be a people oriented person, with strong inter-personal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred to have orthopedic nurse certification (ONC) or must be able to obtain within 12 months of employment.
