Medical Assistant OB/GYN Job Opening

A busy OB/GYN office in Penfield, NY is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant (MA). The MA will be responsible for various clerical, clinical and patient care duties. Ensures both the highest level of patient care and that the center operates with utmost efficiency.

The MA will be responsible for: working side by side with the physician and/or midlevel provider, escorting patients back to exam room, measuring vital signs, obtaining medical history and document all information in patient's electronic chart, assisting with in-office procedures, scheduling diagnostic tests and contacting insurance company for authorizations, answering phones, making appointments, filing and other task related to an OBGYN medical office.

Attention to detail and accuracy in entering patient data, maintaining medical records, communicating with patients, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis.

OBGYN experience preferred.
