Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union
• Wasilla, AlaskaTo oversee the Credit Union’s Innovation Department tasked with making sure all depository services and virtual
touch points meet member need, provide value, and allow members to effectively manage finances. Participates
in the design, testing, and documentation of new and existing services. In order to achieve the objectives of the
Credit Union, these responsibilities shall be executed promptly, courteously and accurately.
FUNCTIONS
Responsible for member marketing of the Credit Union and knowledge of all services offered to a degree
that will enable answering questions or referring members for specific services.
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Innovation Department.
Supervises employees, actively coaches, ensures adequate and appropriate training, hires, schedules, and
addresses performance issues for the Innovation Department.
Responsible for product lifecycle management of depository services and remote delivery channels.
Provides monthly reports on the positioning of MVFCU depository and remote channels related to
competition.
Ensures Senior Management is aware of new innovations in depository services and remote delivery
channels.
Creates business use case documentation and project plans.
Creates design documents for new products and existing product updates.
Project management including stakeholder management, project tracking, and resource allocation
negotiations.
Interfaces with third party vendors for delivery of products and services.
Leads quality assurance (testing and validation) efforts related to new and modified products and services.
Manages the Credit Union’s document collection, which includes updates to existing documentation and
new documentation.
Organizes the Change Control Board.
Provides monthly reports of project priority and project status to the Change Control Board.
Responsible for monitoring assigned general ledger accounts and providing recommendations for budget
adjustments on these general ledger accounts.
Provides the Chief Operations Officer with reports regarding progress made in each area of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Operations Officer.

Establishes and maintains positive relationships necessary to carry out the activities of this position.
AUTHORITY
The incumbent is authorized to take any action to carry out the responsibilities assigned by the Chief Operations
Officer, so long as such action does not deviate from established policies and represents sound judgment,
except for specific limitations placed on the incumbent’s authority by specific assignments to other personnel.
PREREQUISITES FOR THIS POSITION
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Project Management, or Business
preferred.
Minimum Experience: Five years of Project Management or Information Services in a leadership
capacity.
Personal Characteristics: Must be of the highest integrity; in good health and with personal habits
above reproach. Must practice confidentiality. Must be a mature person with sound judgment. Must
have a high degree of self-motivation, organizational skills, and be able to work independently with the
ability to make sound decisions. Must be able to take directions and seek the council of supervisor as
necessary. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
