• Vermillion, South DakotaThe Department of Social Work at the University of South Dakota invites applications for the Adjunct Faculty pool for the fall 2019 and spring 2020 terms. The Social Work Department offers accredited BSSW and MSW degree programs. Undergraduate courses are offered on the Vermillion campus and at the University Center in Sioux Falls. The MSW Program offers classes in 3-hour blocks, and offer a full complement of online courses.
The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program, have a minimum of two years of direct social work practice experience, and be licensed to practice social work in South Dakota at the Masters level. Adjunct faculty teaching in the MSW Program must be approved for graduate faculty status at USD.
We have a particular need for a BSSW adjunct faculty members who have knowledge and experience in generalist practice across the lifespan, and who are committed to the professional preparation of entry level generalist practitioners. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating diverse practice experience with our American Indian/Native American neighbors.
