POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Informatics Specialist position serves as the liaison between the hospital's clinical areas and the IT department. This includes the primary responsibility of determining the needs and requirements for clinical applications in acute and ambulatory healthcare settings. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will participate in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of clinical systems (i.e. EMR, PACS, digital imaging, etc.). This position serves as a clinically trained professional nurse liaison between Information Systems, Nursing Services, Administration, and any other departments necessary that provide patient care. The Clinical Informatics Specialist uses expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate projects for the facility to best facilitate its clinical usefulness.This position provides staff training and performance improvement of systems implemented/utilized. This position engages in significant interaction with clients, physicians, clinical staff, vendors, support personnel, administration, peers, and others to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes, and providing support in accordance with organizational goals.

Experience:

  • Clinical Nursing: 3 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

License:

  • WA State RN (Preferred)
