Overview

USU is currently hiring non-benefited teachers to provide clinical instruction to USU nursing students. Positions are currently open in Tooele. This is an ACA Variable position.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of student with measurable objectives for each clinical course taught.
  • Instructs, manages, and supervises individuals and groups in clinical and/or simulation lab settings.
  • Evaluates learning.
  • Maintains and submits student evaluations and records.
  • Counsels students as needed.
  • Assists nursing program in maintaining an effective program.
  • Maintains safe clinical conditions.

Qualifications

1. Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree; MSN degree or enrolled in MSN program
2. Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience.
3. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing with the State of Utah (or eligible to obtain Utah licensure).
4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
5. Interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
