Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree required in nursing, allied health, health care administration, health education or related field required; experience in creating and administering allied health education programs. Attention to detail is essential. Ability to use Word, Excel and Outlook. An understanding of the mission of the community college and a demonstrated ability to respond to and work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are essential.

Responsibilities

The position is responsible for coordinating the various allied health programs offered through Continuing Education including Certified Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Coding Test Preparation and First Aid, as well as collaborating with other area providers and agencies to create new career programs. Responsible to set program health and educational requirements and assure that students meet program requirements for admission; respond to program inquiries; recruit and participate in instructor selection, training and evaluation; work with instructors and clinical sites to develop course descriptions and schedules for inclusion in the credit-free catalog; serve as liaison between the college and clinical sites; collaborate with the credit programs; publicize programs; collect data and evaluate programs; budget and order supplies; and collaborate with state and accreditation agencies and assure that programs meet appropriate standards and OSHA guidelines.
