Acqua Recovery is a Joint Commission Accredited, 20-bed residential drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment center, located on the grounds of a 125-year-old estate in Midway, Utah. This beautiful setting and supportive atmosphere will help build a foundation for sobriety and healing. Acqua Recovery is looking for a Master’s Level Mental Health Therapist, who is dedicated to helping grow our clinical mental health and trauma program.
Part time, 20-24 hours per week.
- Master’s level clinical degree from an accredited school
- Fully licensed in the State of Utah
- Be in good standing w/ Department of Professional Licensing
- A minimum of 2 year’s experience in the substance abuse/mental health industry
- Skill and proficiency in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and creating treatment plans
- Skill and proficiency in clinical interaction in supporting clients towards treatment plan goals
- Skill and proficiency in presenting a clinical case and staffing a client with peers
- Skill and proficiency in the understanding and facilitation of group processing and facilitating groups
- Understand and facilitate processes that support a healthy emotional economy
Caseload
- Managing the individual clinical caseload is an important part of the SA/MHTs responsibilities. Each SA/MHT must balance their workload with the need to provide excellence in service to patients. MHTs accomplish their work according to federal and state laws to meet the needs of patients with diverse needs. They understand and work within the applicable codes of ethics to maintain the highest standards of ethical practice.
- While supervising each patient’s advancement toward improved mental health, resolution of problematic concerns and conflicts, and resilient recovery, SA/MHTs are also aware of the need for cost effective services. SA/MHTs do this by:
- Ensuring the safety of patients and fellow employees
- Actively managing the reduction of risks
- Promoting opportunities for growth
- Reducing or eliminating unwarranted costs and superfluous expenditures
Patient Progression
- In a clinical setting, a patient moves from intake to treatment to discharge. SA/MHTs provide for their assigned patients’ treatment plans in order to ensure that each patient receives appropriate services at realistic costs and according to a reasonable timetable. This requires the revision of treatment plans to address changing circumstances as well as tailored treatments as necessary.
Mental Health Therapy
- SA/MHTs provide all required psychotherapy services in the patient care setting. Each SA/MHT is expected to be compliant in their attendance to scheduled patient sessions, attending staff and supervision meetings, being prepared to review patient issues as required, and coordinate patient services with other employees or other agencies.
- SA/MHTs complete all requirements for education, training and testing as required by the state.
- SA/MHTs balance the needs of the Acqua Recovery Centers with support for their assigned patients while ensuring consistent excellence in clinical services for each patient. The focus of the SA/MHT must always consider the sustainability of Acqua
- SA/MHTs attend staffing and supervision meetings weekly and as additionally required. They also make themselves available for one-on-one supervision as appropriate.
