Regal Heights Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center is currently seeking a Assistant Director of Nursing to help provide leadership and supervision to the Nursing department. If needed, we will provide reimbursement for the fees to acquire a Delaware state RN license.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the day-to-day functions of the Nursing department in accordance with the State and Federal regulations
- Assist DON in coordinating Nursing services with all other departments
- Assist in maintaining resident and family relations by facilitating open lines of communication with residents, families, other disciplines, physicians, and other staff as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, consultants, community agencies, and other agencies as needed to ensure quality services are provided to the residents
- Maintain a working knowledge of the resident's residing in the facility to monitor and ensure timely and effective responses to significant changes in resident conditions, transfers, discharges, unexplained injuries, falls, medication errors, behavioral changes, etc
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, and/or resident complaints or concerns
- Conducts compliance rounds throughout the facility several times throughout each shift
- Assist with Survey preparation and readiness
- Actively participates in Survey, immediately correcting any problems/concerns identified by Surveyors, and participating in any plan of correction preparation and implementation
- Oversees the Nursing department in the absence of the DON
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current RN license in DE or compact state
Experience:
- 2 year RN experience required
- 2 year nursing management experience preferred
- Knowledge of Long Term Care regulations preferred
