Michiana Hematology-Oncology, P.C. has an opening for a Full-Time Front Desk position at our Chesterton/Valparaiso clinics! Position is 5 days per week; 8am-5pm.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews services received by patients, checking to make sure that all services received were checked on the encounter form. Assists the Team Leader as required.
  • Makes return appointment for the patient if needed, or enters recall into the practice management system.
  • Maintains the practices and principals set forth by MHO leadership with a strong commitment to service, excellence and quality.
  • Maintains professional behavior, confidentiality and discretion at all times, along with the ability to work with all levels of staff with a confident and professional demeanor.
  • Will be cross trained in check in and chemo check out.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Computer knowledge, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer knowledge/aptitude (Mosaiq a plus), be very organized/detail oriented, have clinical abilities/skills, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.
  • This individual must also present a professional appearance in grooming, attire, along with the ability to interact positively with visitors, patients, and staff.
