Responsible for assisting the Mortgage Banker in the day to day needs, processing loans, assisting customers, and marketing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Processing loans:
    • Enter client/ loan information in DO and pipeline
    • Stack and scan files to process, order title work and mortgagee clause
    • Communicate with clients on loan stipulations and missing documents
    • Marketing:
      • Assist in the development a client database
      • Manage database to send out mortgage updates, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.,
      • Assist with events in the community
      • Drive leads:
        • Build relationships with realtors and influencers in community
        • Organization:
          • Maintain calendar for appointments
          • Organize files during and post closing
          • Prepare files for clients to sign upon arrival
          • Asset Quality

Standard:

  • Counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers
  • Obtaining all necessary support documents
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner to
  • Serve as the borrower’s advocate and main contact during the underwriting, committing, and closing process
  • Customer Service – Responsible for fostering the FirstBank Experience in the following ways: Phones answered by the third ring, proper greeting on every telephone call, all customers greeted when entering the financial center, employees should stand and properly greet (handshake, eye contact, introduction) each customer before entering a meeting, use the customer’s name at least once, thank the customer, always get back to the customer before sundown.

  • Secret shoppers results
  • Bank management observations
  • No customer complaints to the City President.
  • Adhere to Policy and Procedures - Responsible for all compliance with bank policies, procedures, and operational integrity.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent mandatory
  • 3+ years of working in a business environment
  • 1+ years of loan experience preferred

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.


Other Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work independently with good project management skills and ability to adjust to ever changing environment.
