Part Time Physical Therapist Job Opening

Newport County Regional is hiring a Physical Therapist to work in the Middletown Public Schools two (2) hours per week.a) Preparing, implementing, and evaluating an annual educational plan for student(s) based on individually assessed needs and in accordance with district procedures.b) Preparing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care for each student in accordance with district policies.c) Using appropriate assessment instruments pertinent to areas of therapy.d) Providing specialized physical therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational, social and emotional needs of the student(s).e) Providing parents with suggestions for home techniques.f) Providing teachers and support staff with suggestions for follow-up strategies and techniques, as requested and required.g) Conferring with the classroom teacher as requested concerning any educational needs of the student.h) Making available to teachers instructional ideas that are appropriate for exceptional student(s) within the classroom situation. i) Contacting and reporting to physicians and agencies as requested and required.j) Designing and constructing adaptive equipment, assistive devices and other devicesk) Completing progress reports on student(s) in the program.l) Supplying progress reports to school personnel physicians and parents of exceptional students as necessary and requested.
