Occasional Part Time at INTEGRIS usually requires a minimum of one shift per pay period. It is a great way to earn supplemental income.


Position Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs delegated tasks and procedures of patient care, involving the physical, psychosocial, safety and security needs of the patients. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
Essential Functions:
The Certified Nursing Assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides personal patient care

  • Assists at mealtime and records activities

  • Provides oversight to patient safety issues

  • Performs treatments including, catheter care, enema administration, preparation of sitz baths, compression application, and assisting in ambulating of patient

  • Collects specimens and takes vital signs

  • Assists in patient admissions

  • Provides appropriate care for post-op surgery patients

Additional Hospice duties:

  • Performs nutrition and skin care

  • Assists in treatments

  • Measures and records fluid intake and output
Accountability:
The Certified Nursing Assistant reports to the Registered Nurse.

Keyboarding/Dexterity: Occasionally; activity exists up to 1/3 of the time
Standing/Walking: Constantly; activity exits up to 2/3 of the time
Strength (Lift/Carry/Push/Pull): Heavy (Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects)

Environmental Conditions:
Job conditions may require high exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment and chemicals. Potential for bodily injury related to job duties and/or incidents of workplace violence. The Certified Nursing Assistant may be exposed to constant interruptions, noise and disagreeable odors. Requirement to float to other nursing units may occur.

Qualifications:

  • High School education or equivalent required

  • Recognized nursing assistant course required

  • Oklahoma Certified Nursing Assistant certification required

  • Complete Therapeutic Options training within 6 months of hire date and re certification yearly (Gero Psych only)

  • Certification as Home Health Aide in Oklahoma and 1 year Home Health experience (Home Health Aide Only) preferred

  • This job requires the incumbents to operate an INTEGRIS-owned vehicle OR personal vehicle (non INTEGRIS-owned) and therefore must have a current Driver's License from the state of residence, driving record which is acceptable to our insurance carrier and auto insurance verification (Home Health and Hospice only).
