Instructor-Hospital/Nursing Education Job Opening

Under the direction of the Director of Hospital/Nursing Education, the Instructor-Hospital/Nursing Education assists with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating orientation, in-service, staff development and continuing education programs, at the individual, unit and departmental level. Assists in implementation of patient education and community education program; assists with record keeping, file maintenance, and policy revision.

Must have a current license to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama. Must have a minimum of one year experience in the practice of professional nursing in either Medical/Surgical or Critical Care. Demonstrates excellence in direct patient care, leadership skills, and organizational abilities. Demonstrates a commitment to the contributions of education for improved nursing practice by seeking out educational opportunities for personal growth and opportunities to present educational programs for others. ACLS, BLS, and PALS instructor certification required within one (1) year of hire.
