Case Manager - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Hours: 40 hours weekly

As a Social Worker for the Unaccompanied Children (UC) Program you will provide case management services for children who have migrated from Central America and are going through the reunification process.

• Conduct home visits, referrals, and other case management services for UC children and families.
• Make and coordinate referrals when necessary to community services.
• Responsible for management of case files such as reports, client notes, and other pertinent material relevant to the case. Complete paperwork within appropriate time frames.
• Conduct interviews, screenings, assessments, home visits, post placement support/reports and home studies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 
  BSW or BA/BS in a human service field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Prior experience in child welfare and case management.
• Ability to work independently. Self-starter work style.
• Demonstrate excellent clinical, assessment skills, and crisis intervention skills.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communications skills.
• Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions.
• Willingness to travel within the state of Massachusetts and Rhode Island for conducting in-home assessments and visits.
• Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement and Cultural Diversity Commitment.

Desired Qualifications:

• MSW or MA/MA in a human service field.
• Prior cross-cultural experience.
• Mature and stable judgments and sensitivity to various cultures.
• Previous experience in conducting home studies.
