RN Clinical Educator

Evaluate, suggest, create and incorporate both non-clinical and clinical programs that improve practices for the patients' safety and well-being. Develop a curriculum to satisfy education requirements for orientation of homecare staff and ongoing education. Function as a source of information for those around them and assess and set goals for educational programs, performing updates when called for.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • RN assists the Quality Improvement (Q.I.) Director in developing and implementing an Agency Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program
  • RN executes nursing care and assess results. Teach nurses, perform evaluations, and provide overall guidance.
  • RN manages and coordinate staff and continually investigate methods for improving patient care.
  • RN serves as a role model and demonstrate clinical and professional leadership. Make ethical decisions in practice and hold responsibility for allocating resources.
  • RN assists whenever needed in tracking all MD orders to ensure they are returned within state guidelines and meet weekly with Administrator to discuss progress and potential issues.
  • RN performs quality control analysis of shift work nursing notes on a weekly basis to ensure appropriate coordination and documentation.
  • RN performs Chart Audits using Qualiance software per agency policy
  • RN develops training and education based on the needs of the nurses and Home Health Aides. Hold at least one in-service each month for staff.
  • RN collaborates with Director of Quality and Education, Clinical manager and Administrator to revise Homecare orientation to include necessary components. Lead orientation and perform a lab competency on all nurses in conjunction with the Clinical Care Managers.
  • RN develops and track PIP for both individual employees and the agency with the assistance of the Clinical Director and Administrator as needed.
  • RN performs all other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Administrator.
