Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Opening

We are searching for caring and compassionate individuals that are seeking a rewarding career in the medical field. We have openings for certified CNAs and we also offer Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes for individuals not currently certified.

CNAs perform non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of nursing personnel and to assist in maintaining a positive physical, social and psychological environment for the residents.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Previously certified CNAs must be in good standing and currently licensed byt the State of Alabama
• Completion of elementary education or otherwise show ablility to read, write and follow oral and written directions
• Must speak and understand English
• Positive attitude toward the elderly
• Must have the ability to remain calm under stress

Duties:

• Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions
• Positioning in and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
• Prepare residents for meals and snacks, assist in feeding, documenting meal and food intake
• Understand and use Universal Precautions and follow established safety rules
• Must maintain resident confidentiality; treat resident with respect and dignity; know and comply with Residents' Rights rules; promptly report all resident complaints, accidents and incidents to supervisor
