Veterinary Assistant Job Opening

Pet Health Center of Mount Vernon is looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Assistant to join our growing practice with great staff and a friendly work environment. We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team part-time. We are a small animal hospital located in the growing community of Mount Vernon, Iowa.

Veterinary Assistant responsibilities include: assisting veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures, administering anesthesia and nursing care, clinical pathology, laboratory testing, radiography, medical record management, invoice generation, inventory maintenance and client education.

Our practice includes in-house IDEXX laboratory analyzers, digital radiography, cold laser therapy, and a full surgical suite.

The ideal candidate must have a great work ethic, possess strong customer service skills and be team oriented.

Job Type: Part-time

Experience:

• Relevant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
