Medical Assistant Job Opening

We are looking for a experienced Medical Assistant for our Primary Care Practice is Allen Park. Looking for a skilled and organized medical assistant who will perform various clinical tasks with some clerical tasks as needed.

Clinical responsibilities include escorting patients to the exam rooms, measure and record vital signs, recording and updating medical histories along with performing EKG's, PFT, giving injections, PT/INR, bone density X-Ray and minor procedures. Knowledge of insurance, including verification and referrals, medication authorization. Preparing rooms and ensuring supplies are ready and available, etc.

Clerical responsibilities may include greeting patients as they arrive, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, updating patient demographics, scanning reports, taking messages, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications include the following:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Pleasant personality with the ability to interact in a professional, compassionate manner with patients
• Ability to multitask
• Previous experience with EMR (Prefer EPIC)

Rate is negotiable based on experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
