Looking for Experienced Veterinary Technician Job Opening

Cascade Summit Animal Hospital is currently seeking a full time, experienced veterinary technician to join our team. We are a busy four doctor practice with a strong passion for client education, and we believe in team building activities that promote fun in the workplace.We are committed to practicing high-quality, progressive medicine. One of our veterinarians offers alternative care options, including acupuncture, chiropractic, herbs, supplements, and homeopathy.

A minimum of one year’s experience working in a veterinary clinic is required.We use Cornerstone software and are a paperless practice.Visit our website (www.cascadesummitvets.com) to learn more about our hospital.

The clinic is located right off 205, just a short drive from Oregon City, Clackamas, Portland, Lake Oswego, and the Beaverton/Tigard areas. Our hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm – no late evenings or long Saturday hours! We provide uniforms, paid holidays and vacation, CE opportunity, health and dental insurance, and accrued sick time. Background screening and drug testing are required prior to employment.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting the doctors with appointments, lab results, phone messages, and refill requests

- Client education

- Radiograph positioning

- Client correspondence via phone and email

- Detailed medical record entries

- Sample collection

- IV catheter placement

- Patient intake and discharge

- Animal handling and restraint

- Filling prescriptions and reviewing them with owners
