As we continue to see great growth at the Nora Staael Evert Physical Therapy Clinic, we are now in need of four (4) new Intermittent Physical Therapists to provide professional physical therapy services to individuals referred from providers and through direct access to physical therapy. Being true to the nature of an intermittent position, your work schedule will be driven by the needs of those we serve and of our clinic. In the spirit of being as transparent as possible, and without making any promises, an Intermittent Physical Therapist could potentially anticipate variable days and hours not to exceed 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week).


Uniquely, these positions will assist with completion of scholarly projects with faculty; provide assessments and consultation regarding health and wellness for individuals with chronic illnesses, injuries, and disease; and provide clinical instruction for graduate level physical therapy students. These positions may also have an opportunity to assist with our marketing efforts and program development.


These positions are responsible for the supervision of physical therapy aides, gym staff. In the supervision of student staff these positions will determine and prioritize what can be effectively delegated to support staff; delegate specific tasks and following up with students to ensure work is complete and accurate; and share supervision of students working as aides in UMPT Clinic.


These positions are expected to develop a working knowledge and ability to provide supervision and clinic instruction to graduate level physical therapy students.


Required Skills

  • Ability to be flexible with scheduling hours and days of week worked.
  • Ability to provide professional physical therapy evaluations, treatments and consultations in accordance with the rules and regulations set forth by the State of Montana, third party payors, and the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Experience working with and providing supervision of support staff such as physical therapy aides and Physical Therapy Assistant
  • This position will function with a high level of independence, initiative, and dependability

Minimum Required Experience

  • Possess a current Montana Licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Six (6) months experience working as a licensed Physical Therapist.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working as a clinical instructor in clinic setting.

Salary: $29.00/hr - $40.00/hrDepending on qualifications and experience.
