Job Description: The Registered Respiratory Therapist is expected to have higher knowledge, skill, and abilities level than the Certified Respiratory Therapist, and to routinely perform at that level. The Registered Respiratory Therapist is expected to routinely perform and interact as a professional. Clinical Practice - Administers Pulmonary Rehabilitation therapeutics and diagnostic services with skill and proficiency. Routinely integrates knowledge, skills and experience to promote optimum outcomes for the patient. Safety and Environment of Care- Applies the clinical practice guidelines outlined by the AACVPR to provide patients with safe and effective Rehabilitation. Exhibits the Core Values of EAMC in all areas of care. Quality - Meets expectations to maintain and recruit patients for the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program. Manages all aspects of the patient visit. Professional Development - Assumes responsibility for self-development through continuing education and maintains all required license and credentials. Promotes the Respiratory Care profession.

Experience: 6 months working clinical experience as a practicing Respiratory Therapist.

Education: High School diploma

Training: Training in at least 2 age populations

Licensure: Successful completion of advanced practice exam. ALS skills as required by operating unit. Current license Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy. BLS obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer. Eligible to obtain Alabama state license in Respiratory Therapy, RRT, RRT-eligible.
