The Northeastern Regional Director will serve to position Bethany Christian Services for optimum performance and future success by providing leadership and direction to the region. The oversight and leadership by the Regional Director will ensure services are delivered in alignment with overall strategic direction of the agency and sound financial performance and operational excellence is achieved.
Essential Functions:
- Provides overall leadership, direction and support to the Northeastern Region Executive Branch Directors to optimize operations, maximize staff engagement levels; completes on-site, regularly scheduled visits to branch offices within the region as needed (at least two per year minimum).
- The Northeastern Regional Director will provide oversight to our locations and Executive Branch Directors in Fair Lawn NJ (New York/New Jersey/Connecticut), Northern New England (New Hampshire/Vermont), Maryland (Maryland/DC), Virginia (Richmond/Fredericksburg/Virginia Beach) and serve as Executive Branch Director for the Southern New England Branch office (Massachusetts and Rhode Island) as well.
- As executive branch director you are held to all responsibilities of any other branch director for your branch.
- Governs the region’s annual budget planning processes, tracks performance, and creates corrective action plans to ensure financial targets are met.
- Leads each of their branches to collaboratively create and implement a clearly defined operational plan sufficient to achieve each branch’s service and financial objectives.
- Creates, maintains, and cascades overall service delivery strategy and operational plan for the region and their own branch in partnership with other Branch Directors and VP’s. Ensures plans are harmonized across Bethany with consideration to unique branch and local service conditions.
- Builds collaborative, yet strategic relationship with local Boards of Directors to ensure proper structure, enforcement of bylaws, and healthy partnerships with Branch Directors.
- Partners with Donor Engagement team staff to generate donations and on-going financial support through fundraising efforts in the region.
- Provides performance management feedback, coaching and support to Branch Directors while ensuring the appropriate training and development initiatives are in place to drive staff competency while meeting licensing/state requirements, regulations and standards.
- Serves as a National Bethany representative at various team and group meetings, conventions and community events.
- Reports to the VP of Regional Operations
Qualifications:
An understanding and strong commitment to Bethany’s values and unique identity.- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards, high level of personal motivation, integrity and initiative.
- Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Arts (MA) or Science (MS) in a human service related field with LICSW required.
- Minimum of 7 years demonstrated leadership and management experience in child welfare/human services.
- A solid track record of success in reaching financial goals through solid revenue and expense planning, program administration, and fund-development.
- Proven ability to create and execute strategic and operational plans, programs, policies/procedures in accordance with state requirements and community needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
