Medical Assistant Job Opening

Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Obtaining patient history, vitals, and chief complaint
• Preparing patients for examination, x-rays, and procedures
• Data entry within electronic health record
• Assisting physician with procedures such as injections, suture/staple removal, wound care/dressing changes, fitting durable medical equipment, placing or removing cast/splint etc.
• Assist with patient education regarding treatment plans as ordered by physician.
• Obtaining health insurance pre-certification/authorization for surgical procedures and advanced imaging.

Job Requirements Include:

• Ideal candidate should be a trained Medical Assistant with minimum one year experience in medical field. (Certification is preferred but not required)
• Punctual with reliable transportation
• Willing to travel between our Scottsboro and Fort Payne practice locations
• Possess a strong capability for multi-tasking and remain organized in fast paced environment
• Clear communicator with a friendly and professional demeanor

Job Type: Full-time, 36-40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 8:00am-5pm.
