Mental Health Counselor Therapist Job Opening

Compensation: $27 Hourly - $30 Hourly

We are seeking a self-motivated and committed Mental Health Therapist to provide full-time counseling for adults, adolescents, children and families out of our outpatient office location. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will conduct individual and group counseling sessions as well as crisis intervention during the day.

Additional tasks of the Mental Health Counselor include:

• Assessing, diagnosing, treating and counseling patients and performing psychosocial evaluations
• Developing individualized treatment plans that define services and interventions
• Updating treatment plans according to documentation requirements.

Job Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will document clinical service delivery within 48 hours of seeing patients. You will also keep records of patient contacts and complete all required OTR’s/PA’s to ensure that clinical services are billed in a timely manner.

Additional responsibilities of the Mental Health Counselor include:

• Maintaining the appropriate sized caseload to meet productivity expectations
• Attending outpatient staff meetings for agency communication, clinical consultation and training
• Coordinating the provision of clinical services for patients with other programs and/or medical services

Job Requirements

As a Mental Health Therapist, you must possess excellent assessment skills. You must also be able to work as part of a cohesive team in a fast-paced environment.

Additional requirements for the Mental Health Counselor include:

• Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Services or a related field
• Valid license as an LPC, LCSW or PsyD in the state of Missouri
• Experience providing mental health counseling to adults, adolescents and children
• Strong computer abilities and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
