RN Supervisor- Emergency Department Job Opening

The RN Shift Supervisor works under the Director of Emergency Services and is responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients and directs others in patient care in the ER. Responsible for providing high quality patient care to and acts as a liaison with patients, their representatives, physicians and employees. Responsible for the efficient operation of the unit. Optimizes the use of human resources, managing productivity to established guidelines. Provides guidance and accountability for Nursing staff, participates in an on-call rotation for the department. Delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the populations served. Demonstrates an interest in a patient centered approach to total nursing care. Assists the Director with management functions including scheduling, orientation, staff development and reports or project implementation as needed.

Active Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Alabama Board of Nursing is required. At least 1 year nursing experience in critical care strongly preferred.

Hours for this position are Nights 7pm -7am
