Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.
Job Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or one of the chemical, physical or biological sciences is required.
Licensure/Certification: American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
Experience:

Essential Job Functions
Job Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Performs full range of chemical, microbiologic, immunologic, hematologic, and immunohematologic laboratory procedures.
- Evaluates test results and follow-up with appropriate action.
- Performs instrument calibrations, maintenance, QC & troubleshooting procedures.
- Completes all internal and external documentation as per policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative and technical consulting on laboratory testing.
- Assists in the training of laboratory personnel, other healthcare professionals and consumers.
- Participates in evaluation of new techniques and procedures in the laboratory.
Physical Capacity Demand
Medium Work: Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force
frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
