Patient Account Representative Job Opening

We are currently seeking Patient Account Representative for a team focused on hospital/physician services in a business office setting.

The position is responsible for communicating by phone with patients for the purpose of collecting and managing patient accounts. The Patient Account Representative ensures timely receipt of payments for services rendered. The Patient Account Representative provides outstanding customer service to customers and vendors through effective communication.

Position Summary

~Treat all consumers with respect and dignity.

~ Contact consumers to pay and/or set up payment arrangements on account balances.

~ Utilize the scripted opening when the consumer is reached. This includes identifying the consumer, the company, and asking for payments on account balances.

~ Once the consumer is reached negotiating payments terms and methods, this often requires reviewing account information and discussing this with the consumer.

~Update the customer record with new information, record the call as well as all relevant notes about the call via our systems.

~Ability to navigate through multiple tasks simultaneously while displaying strong attention to detail.

~Comply with all compliance areas, policies, and procedures (including HIPPA compliance requirements).

~ Receive, research, and respond to questions; provide information, explain policies, and procedures and/or facilitate a resolution.

~ Performs other duties as assigned
