RN Assessment Intake Coordinator - Days Job Opening

We're looking for a Full Time (Days) RN that'll be responsible for;

Adequately assesses patients experiencing withdrawals and the desire to change addictive behavior to determine the appropriate level of care indicated based on symptomology. Interviewers’ skills require knowledge of admission criteria, pre-authorization process and utilization review process for Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial Payers. Should possess knowledge of local resources available for non – admits, good communication skills, and ability to engage the patient both in person and by phone. Promptly and professionally manages all inquiries received. Demonstrated ability to utilize diagnostic criteria to assign a diagnostic impression. Keeps clear and accurate written documentation and tracking of all inquiries, admissions, discharges and referrals. Knowledge and ability to document using appropriate terminology. Assist with marketing the program. Assists with staff education on treatment and management of patients experiencing withdrawal symptoms.

Education Requirements: ADN required, BSN or MBA preferred. RN currently licensed in Alabama.

Experience Required: Prior experience with addiction program. Two years of work experience in an addiction related setting preferred.
