The Neonatal Intensive Care RN specializes in quality and safe care to newborns that require special care. Family centered care and a baby
friendly environment is provided to support the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of the family. This includes providing care for infants diagnosed with prematurity, respiratory
distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, neonatal seizures, hypoglycemia or birth anomalies.

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care; demonstrates the knowledge, critical thinking and judgment of and integrates the use of evidence-based outcomes for nursing
practice; supervises care delivered; coordinates plan of care; provides education for patients, families and staff; and collaborates with other disciplines.

The RN must be a graduate of an
accredited school of nursing; maintain a current Indiana RN license; maintain BLS, NRP and, if applicable, ACLS certification. No experience is required but 1-2 years of experience is preferable.

The RN will adhere to the American Nurses Association Bill of Rights by establishing and maintaining workplace expectations and environments which support sound professional nursing practice.
