Job Title: Physical TherapistLocation: Martinville, VAJob type: ContractPosition Summary: As a Physical Therapist, you would provide comprehensive Physical Therapy services to individuals with Developmental Disabilities on an assigned caseload, ensuring they receive rehabilitative care and ensure proper use and care of equipment.
Responsibilities and job functions:
Performs Physical Therapy-related assessments
Development and implementation of individualized treatment goals and plans of care in accordance with best practice standards.
Training of agency staff in implementation of PT-related routines
Assessment of appropriateness and functionality of Durable Medical Equipment and Assistive Devices and assist with obtaining necessary equipment.
Perform Environmental Modification (E-Mod) assessment, justification, and plan of alteration.
Supervises PT Assistants and participate as a member of interdisciplinary treatment team which may include professional, para-professional and direct care staff.
Ability to communicate in a thorough, concise, accurate and professional manner both verbally and in writing.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet necessary and timely demand for documentation.
Job Requirements:
Valid license as a Physical Therapist.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Must pass necessary background checks
Proficient use of computers and use of smart phone.
