Job Overview
This role will help support the clinical functions of the office by providing chair side assistance to the doctor(s) and will also complete any requested job functions requested by the doctor and/or lead assistant. The Dental assistant role also helps manage patient flow, patient education, and direction of all patient interactions.
Position Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt. | Supervisory: None
Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday
Primary Responsibilities
Candidate must have 3+ years of dental assisting experience
Provides exceptional patient experiences to patients at all times
Maintain focus on a productive schedule that supports dentists/doctors as they deliver high quality patient care
Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies; pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts
Ensures operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access; suctioning; passing instruments.
Provides preoperative and postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist
Assists in making patient re-care calls to help optimize office schedule
Maintain protocols and guidelines as they relate to patient privacy (HIPPA/OSHA)
Other duties assigned by Executive Director and/or office manager

Salary: $29,000.00 to $35,000.00 /year
