Physical Therapist Job Opening

JOB TITLE:

• Staff Physical Therapist

JOB SUMMARY:

• Evaluates physical therapy needs, develops and implements therapy programs for assigned patients. Participates in related clinical activities.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• The Staff Physical Therapist is directly accountable to the Director of Physical Therapy and indirectly to the referring physician.

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of a school of physical therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association or a foreign-trained equivalent.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Medical Quality Assurance or accepted for licensure within six months from date of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to use sound judgment in applying academic knowledge and clinical experience in providing direct and indirect patient care.
• Capable of communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize time and set priorities appropriately, demonstrating flexibility.
• Ability to establish rapport with MDs, adjustors, case managers, patients, families, professionals, co-workers, and the public.
• Ability to assume responsibility and uphold decisions of supervising therapists.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment using sound judgment.
• Demonstrate integrity and discretion in all job-related matters.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The Staff Physical Therapist should be in good physical condition including but not limited to the ability to pull, push, lift, and stoop as the situation may require. The Therapists visual acuity must be such that he/she is able to perceive reactions to treatments, tests, and measurements. Must be able to read instruments accurately.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 to $105,000.00 /year
