Summary

Premier Medical Housecall, LLC is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to assess, diagnose and treat minor health problems of patients in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment and counsel patients. May prescribe medication and practice as dictated in collaboration agreement with physician, which has been approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing (ABN) and the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess a minimum of a degree as a Registered Nurse and be board certified by the ANCC or AMC or other recognized credentialing agency approved by the ABN.
  • Must possess and maintain certification as a nurse practitioner in the specialty consistent with nurse practitioner education from a national certification body recognized by the ABN.
  • At least two (2) years nursing experience with a minimum of one (1) year of hospice and supervisory experience.
  • Must possess a collaborative practice agreement with the hospice physician.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or Company requirements and is in good working order.
  • Must hold a current and valid CPR certification.
  • Complies with acceptable professional standards and practice.
  • Demonstrates good communication and management skills.
  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to the patients, families and outside agencies and to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this position with or without accommodations.
  • Daily travel to patient homes required, so active driver's license, insurance and reliable means of transportation required
