GA Foods is hiring an experienced Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who will be assigned full-time to the state of Alabama/Department of Senior Services Contract, to perform dietetic services required to support the contract including all meal options. We are an established, yet growing company who is starting operations for this state on October 1st and will need the Registered Dietitian to start as soon as possible and assist the State Operations Manager in set-up of operations in the state prior to that date.

General Purpose:

The ideal candidate will perform a variety of full range administrative and clinical nutrition management assignments for the Nutrition Division in servicing the Alabama Contract, including members of the production unit management within the state. Candidate will review and modify quantity food service recipes as required for production capabilities and develop production guidelines. Develops, manages and coordinates community education efforts, conducts in-service education with professional staff and supporting personnel of own and related groups. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Essential Duties:

Including but not limited to:

• Plans, schedules and organizes, master menus, associated monthly calendars, facilities schedules and nutrient analysis
• Responsible for all menus and special diets related to nutrition programs
• Designs presentations, spreadsheets, reports, memos, charts, graphs and correspondence
• Collaborates with purchasing, product development, and regional management
• Responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing community nutrition education
• Assist in the implementation of nutrition research and publicity of such
• Attend customer menu planning meetings
• Other duties as assigned by management

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Skills & Experience:

• Proven knowledge of principles of human nutrition, diet therapy and menu principles and practices
• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience preferred directly related to job duties
• Candidate will possess required computer skills to develop the menu, and perform computer analyses, develop appropriate servings guides and substitution lists. This includes: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), Nutrient Analysis Program Management and Database
• General Office Equipment
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task to meet multiple time-sensitive deadlines
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and/or part of a team effort

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Preferred Certifications:

• B.S., Nutrition and Dietetics
• Registered Dietitian, Licensed by the State of Alabama
