The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the Nursing Service Leadership Team and is responsible for assuring quality patient care.

The Clinical Supervisor serves as an expert clinician, role model, consultant, change agent, and facilitator for all staff. The Clinical Supervisor also has responsibility and authority to direct the Nursing Service Department in the absence of the Directors and the Chief Nursing Officer.

The Clinical Supervisor will support the Baptist Health System and Nursing Strategic Plans within the framework of the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of NLN accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. State of Alabama RN Licensure. BCLS ACLS, Minimum of three (3) years as a professional nurse, two (2) of which have been in a hospital Supervisory or Managerial role.Demonstrates effective leadership qualities, sound judgment and good interpersonal relationships. Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Employee development and performance management skills. Establish priorities effectively. SMART Champion. Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. Knowledge and demonstrates competency on assessing and management of all VAD?s.Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
