Michiana Hematology Oncology ,P.C., a privately owned Physician hematology oncology practice offers its employees an exciting, fast-paced, and challenging work environment. We are currently looking for an individual with passion for the healthcare field. We are seeking a full time Medical Assistant for the Nurse Practitioner as well as the infusion suite at our Chesterton and Valparaiso, IN practices. This position is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm.

THE POSITION
This position is responsible for helping patients by providing information, services, and assistance. Other duties include securing medical records; maintaining medical supplies inventory; performing preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating. Will be cross trained to assist with front desk duties (check in/out).
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Completion of Medical Assistant Program required
- Certification is a plus
- Computer knowledge, including electronic medical records systems and Microsoft office.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer knowledge/aptitude (Mosaiq a plus), have clinical abilities/skills, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment
- Must be flexible with job responsibilities: cross train as MA for physician, chemo room, and front desk check in.
