Position Description:

The Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse has a primary responsibility to assess, plan, implement and monitor resident care to ensure that care needs are being met; to follow the resident care plan, recommend change as appropriate, seek direction from supervisors as needed and consult with the resident’s attending physician. The Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse provides overall supervision of licensed nurses, LNAs and LMNAs and the care provided to residents on the assigned unit.

Requirements:

• SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed by the state of New Hampshire as a registered nurse
• Recent clinical experience, long-term care experience preferred
• Possess the following abilities, skills and knowledge:

• Work under pressure
• Interact professionally with physicians, residents, family members, employees, visitors and community and government agencies

• IV certification
• CPR/BLS certified
• Supervise Licensed Nurses, Licensed Nursing Assistants and/or Licensed Medication Nursing Assistants
• React decisively and quickly in emergency situations
