Veterinary Technician/Assistant: 2 yrs experience REQUIRED Job Opening

Emergi-Pet is searching for a fill time veterinary assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our staff. We need someone who is already trained and ready to work. We have a consistant schedule with plenty of time off to schedule trips or down time when you are off. MUST be reliable and willing to work night, weekends, and holidays. Must be self motivated and able to reliably perform responsibilities.

2 years of experience as a veterinary assistant or techician required.

Job duties include: obtaining a patient history, check patients in, clean up, maintain equipment, restrain patients, monitor patients while under anesthesia and adjust equipment, venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, perform laboratory testing (urinalysis, CBC, chemistry, coags), perform TPR's, read fecal samples, assist in surgery, wrap and sterilize surgical packs, fill prescriptions, and administer medications as directed.

Pay will be based upon experience. Extra pay for holidays worked. Benefits available for full time employes after 3 months of probation include health/dental allowance, AFLAC, CE and license fees for licensed technicians, other benefits available after 1 year.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $8.00 to $14.00 /hour
