SportsVet Animal Medical Center is seeking a Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

We are a busy full-service and emergency, AAHA accredited animal hospital located in Savoy, Illinois. We provide a wide range of services for our patients including routine veterinary wellness care, 24/7 emergency medicine, and advanced orthopedic surgery and rehabilitation. We have cultivated an outstanding team to maintain efficient and quality patient care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The candidate we are seeking should be professional, willing to work as part of our extraordinary team, and enjoy providing exceptional service to our clients and our canine and feline patients.

In this role you will:

• Work closely with the entire SportsVet team
• Provide outstanding patient care and dedicated client education. Our goal in all interactions is to strengthen the human-animal bond
• Be a well utilized certified veterinary technician able to perform a variety of technical tasks daily including: blood draws, placing intravenous catheters, monitoring surgical anesthesia, administering injections
• Be expected to perform a variety of diagnostic procedures including: taking diagnostic digital x-rays and demonstrating proficiency with routine laboratory tests like fecals, urinalyses, hematology, and ear cytologies
• Be an integral part of the record keeping process. Assuring patient information and updates are accurately observed and documented in the medical record

Job Requirements

• Applicants must have a valid Certified Veterinary Technician License in the state of Illinois in order to be considered for this position

*Working experience in the veterinary field of 1-2 years preferred but not required*
