We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join the Mountainside Team!

What You’ll Do

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will provide diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures for both in/out patients through the administration of radiopharmaceuticals, and the safe operation of various types of imaging counting and computer equipment.

The successful candidate will be able to:
Render direct patient care and imaging services in a safe manner
Responsible for all aspects of the Radio pharmacy to include dose preparation, administration, and disposal
Utilize various pieces of imaging equipment throughout the hospital, and perform quality control of each
Use various hospital computer systems to include but not limited to NMIS, PACS, RIS as part of normal day-to-day activities
Maintain and document all records as required by NRC and DEP
Operate each gamma camera with confidence and competence
Assist physician in performing procedures, and computer enhancement of images
Utilize aseptic techniques, and demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections
Consult with patients to obtain a complete clinical history
Monitor and record all radioactive materials received in the department for leakage or damage
Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
What You’ll Bring

Must be a graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
5+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist is highly preferred, as well as experience with PET/CT
NJDEP license is required
ARRT or NMTCB registry is required
BLS certification is required
Cultural sensitivity and excellent patient care skills
Ability to work well in a high volume, fast paced environment
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work as part of a team
